Unproductivemuch
Today was.. a dud.
Slept the whole morning, wasted away the afternoon doing.. what exactly? Well since I cannot remember I'm sure it is of no importance. Social networking sites, most likely. UGH.
Watched Sharkwater though. Awesome documentary. Poor sharks! I want to swim with them! Grabe idol ko na si Rob Stewart. At ang cute niya ha! 22 siya when he started the documentary. Haha he's now on my list of Perfect People. The docu moved me so much. There were two instances I cried, the last one (spoiler alert) was during his trip back to Costa Rica where he was greeted by anti-shark finning protests, which he totally didn't expect. That was sooo heartwarming. And the documentary itself is effective since it picqued my interest and now I had opened a lot of tabs in researching how to help the cause. Anyway, I want my documentary to have the same effect - to interest people, and to move them enough that they would want to help. Let's go Thesis!
I also appreciated the power of film. Most of people's shark fear comes from the media (ie, the movie Jaws), but it is also the media which has influence to be able to save it. As filmmakers, we need to be responsible in the truths we present, and as audience, we also need to be responsible towards what we consume, and take everything with a grain of salt. So bottomline is, we need to be responsible people. Too bad people forget this kindergarten trait.
